I can’t recommend Vander Hamm Tire Center highly enough! Over the years, they’ve proven to be an honest, reliable, and downright caring team—qualities that are rare in auto shops today. I took my 05 Nissan Xterra to Vanderhamm because there was a grinding noise coming from the front end whenever I took sharp corners. The mechanic, Collin, noticed my front hubs had some play and had damaged my rotors. We replaced both, but the grinding noise did not disappear, so I took it back, and Collin realized it was actually just the traction control motor kicking in. We use Vanderham Tires of Davis for all of our vehicles, including our travel trailer, and our boat! They are always professional, courteous, and do a fantastic job!
Sexist. When calling for a quote and explaing the various issues I suspected, I was asked "Did another shop tell you that, or a neighbor??" After a second of wondering "Did he really ask that?" My reply was "No, I'm an intelligent woman." MY father started teaching me auto mechanics when I was 3. I don't have time to sweat under my car with wrenches in my driveway these days. But that doesn't mean I'm ignorant. And neither does the fact that I'm a woman. I'll be taking my $2,500 job elsewhere.
The Vander Hamm team have consistently taken excellent care of my family and our vehicles and we all bring our cars there. We are very grateful!
