I inherited a bit of a coin collection that I wanted to sell so after reading all the positive reviews of Vancouver Rare Coin I decided to check it out. I live in Vancouver so it was convenient. I had done a little bit of online research so I knew that my coins were probably only worth the value of the silver and I had a ball park figure as a starting point but didn't want to have a nagging feeling that if I had checked further, maybe one or two of them might be worth more. Which happened to be the case. Not a lot more but t... read more

liL0Ladehoo's Review. In light of the economy today, I found the need to dispose of part of my coin collection. Expecting to spend some time determining the value of these coins, I was much surprised. The whole transaction took less than 15 minutes. The owner was knowledgeable, efficient, and a pleasure to do business with. The compensation for my coins was more than fair. If you have a need to do as I did or want to find something unusual to add to your collections, I recommend Vancouver Rare Coins. It's a treasure house of... read more

Great place to sell your coin – I had a South African coin made in 1976 and wanted to sell it. I took it to several pawn shops and a couple of the local jewelry shops who advertise that they buy gold. I was offered about $50 for the coin at each of the different places. Vancouver Rare Coin paid me 90% of the value of gold on the day I came in to the shop. I was paid $347 for my coin in cash. I highly recommend Vancouver Rare Coin as a place to do business. The owner is friendly and very helpful.

Best Coin Shop Around – Vancouver Rare Coin is the best coin shop I have ever been to! The reason I say this; is the owners experience, knowledge, and fair prices both buying and selling. Over the years I have bought, sold, and traded numorous coins, and have acquired my very best coins from here. If you are a coin collector in this area, do your self a favor and stop in. He is always a buyer on gold and silver coins. He attends lots of Coin shows, and always has new inventory to sell. His shops name is "Vancouver RARE coin"... read more

It is a the mecca for coins – I went with the guy who wrote the last review. We had to check this place out after reading the first review left. It is all true the guy's store is great. A little unorganized to the naked eye, but the man who runs the store knows where everything is. If it isn't in house he will find it. He knows so much too. I have been there twice so far and there is always a line. It is also a good place to just talk "coins". I will keep going back to unless he kicks me out, but it is like the holy land for... read more

Best Place For Coins – I agree with the last review. This shop is out of this world. The outside needs to be fixed up, but this guy has everything. It is a family ran business and the owner stays on top of everything. He has everything too. He also knows everything about coins as well. He also deals in gold and silver which is on the up swing right now. He is by far has the most reasonable prices unlike other coin shops in the city. It is a must see if you are into coins and bullion.

You Won't Find Anything Better In The Portland Area – This place is great. It is a little hole in the wall place in downtown Vancouver, WA. The guy who runs the store knows so much stuff too. Since I started going to the guy I have stopped getting ripped off by ebay to. He will give you facts and his prices are always fair. He uses the Grey sheet religiously and thats what makes the prices fair. If you have coins to sell, he pays top dollar compared to others in the area. I seriously drive like 15 miles just to go to this sh... read more
