I first chose Vancouver Granite Works, Inc. because they were located very close to where my parents had lived for over 50 years. I knew it also was a long time Vancouver Business. Ordering a memorial marker was the last very difficult step of a long sad journey. Dana was SO kind. On a warm summer day she took her time to explain what was needed to meet the cemetary guidelines. In the deep of having lost my mother; I really appreciate the kindness and patience from Rebecca and Mary of Vancouver Granite. I had been trying to manage the headstone design and ordering directly with the graveyard; it was an immense relief to find Vancouver. They were easy to work with, and the result is a monument that our family is happy to see.
After the death of my brother I was set with the task of getting his headstone for the cemetery. Juli Hertel was so helpful and compassionate. She kept me up to date on all progress and helped me design a beautiful headstone.
Vancouver Granite has supported a project of Fort Vancouver Daughters of the American Revolution & American Veterans Post 16 to obtain 12 headstones for Veterans buried at Brush Prairie Cemetery. Vancouver Granite graciously installed each of these headstones free of charge. It is a substantial contribution to our project and we are grateful for their gift. Thank you Vancouver Granite!!
My mother and I had a ph appt in July 2023, before making an order, we set up an appt and met with Rebecca in early Aug 2023 to look at headstones for my brother who had passed in March 2023. She was great and very patient with us (2 other siblings joined the appt via FT and we got very emotional). We paid her over $7k cash and all seemed to go well. Fast forward to March 2024, I reach out. Have a few email exchanges and then I call again a month or 2 later to check on the status. Am told 1 yr is the average for a headstone ... read more
