What is wrong with Vancity these days? I have been a member for 20 years & during the time, I had good experience with Vancity - business banking, mortgages & day to day banking. Today, I went into this branch, had booked a mortgage appointment for one of my relatives over 2 weeks ago. I thought Vancity would welcome new members like they used to. This is my branch. I need a new business account, but they don't offer in person meetings?!?! I can do an online meeting or go to another branch. I'll go to another bank in my community that will meet with me eye to eye while I give them my business account. So much for Sustainable banking🤣😂

22 november 2024, 3pm. I went to the bank on north road to pay my visa. I was served by Alberto Garcia. While serving me, He asked my name. I said, "Leslie Nelson, you can read it on the card. He took offence and soon asked me if I still wanted to be served. I was immediately put on defence because Mr. Garcia decided to take present an immature response to a simple situation. I am so disappointed and frustrated with the service I received from Omar Ganief, Manager at this branch of Vancity.I visited the branch to withdraw my own funds from my account. However, Mr. Ganief failed to provide me with my money after asking numerous unnecessary and intrusive personal questions found Mr. Ganief's behavior unprofessional and his actions unacceptable. As a customer, I expect to have access to my funds without being subjected to unnecessary scrutiny.
