I would steer clear of Vancity bank. I moved to this bank a few years ago because they were recommended to me. That said, the Vancity bank staff who set me up with bank accounts, advised me incorrectly as to the type of account to open. Long story short, I recently learned that they have been charging me $5.00 per debit transaction! In just the first handful of months in 2026, Vancity has stollen almost $1500 from my account in $5.00 charges! $430 in February alone!!! Easy to deal with and great rated
I have never been to this location before. I walked in and was able to go straight to the teller, and I thought to myself, “Wow, this location is great, they must be very efficient.” But once I got to the teller and explained that I wanted to deposit my rolled coins and withdraw the same amount in rolled coins because I like to go through them for commemorative coins, I was told there would be a service charge for that.
