I have never been to this location before. I walked in and was able to go straight to the teller, and I thought to myself, “Wow, this location is great, they must be very efficient.” But once I got to the teller and explained that I wanted to deposit my rolled coins and withdraw the same amount in rolled coins because I like to go through them for commemorative coins, I was told there would be a service charge for that. I recently had a very disappointing experience at Vancity. While the teller provided me with information, it turned out to be incorrect. When I brought this to the attention of the branch manager, I was told that this would be treated as a "great coaching opportunity" for the teller. While I appreciate the importance of staff training and development, the focus should have also been on rectifying the mistake and resolving the issue I faced.
