I am new to the area and was referred to Dr. Eric Van Sluyters, for a second opinion, by an acquaintance, after a bad experience with a different dental office, that claimed I urgently needed over $4k in dental work! Dr. Eric looked at my x-rays and examined my teeth and confirmed that everything is in good shape and that I do not need any expensive treatments done! BEST Dentist in AZ! Will truly listen to your needs, and bedside manner is ELITE. From Dr. Van Sluyters, to the lovely hygienists, and Keana in the office, this is an all star team! They were able to schedule me immediately, as I had travel plans coming up, and I appreciate the accommodation. I have huge anxiety at the dentist, and my scaling and deep cleaning was a breeze because Dr. Van Sluyters really heard my concerns, numbed me properly, and the hygienist used a very fast machine to make the scaling go by really quickly... read more
customer service HAS been very different:( especially after a PHI BREECH.
**Update** The dentist himself called and reached out to explain the situation, and referenced this review. I appreciate that he took the time and explained the charge. Apparently between my two appointments, the dentist stopped being in-network with my Delta dental plan because it doesn't pay enough for him to pay his employees and run a dental office. Fair enough. My first appointment at this office, I showed up and no one was there. They blamed it on a scheduling error caused by someone who no longer worked there. My second appointment at the office, I'll admit, I forgot about. Somehow I just never put the appointment on my calendar.
