I went here recently with my 5 year old son with disability that needs help for his nosebleeds. I found Dr Van Rooy impatient and rude. He barely answered my questions, barely gave me any information. Handed me a prescription which I have no idea what it does. He then just walked out of the room while I was trying to ask him questions and slammed his office door in mine and my son’s face. Agreed it might be time to retire. Will not be seeing him again.
Have gone with my son several times in the past few years and always feel Dr. Van Rooy is uninterested in actually solving the problem .He speaks in very technical terms and doesn’t appear to care .During my latest visit he was pretty rude to me so i informed him I would never take my son there again.It might be time for him to retire.
Very thorough, answers question. Confirmed that my condition was not due to old age, but from the severe pain I experienced in my ear as the specialist in Nanaimo who was extremely rude and dismissive less than 10 minutes in her office. Need a second or first opinion, go to campbell River.
I had a deviated septum, and the doctor doesn’t even have patience to listen to the patient and just was in a hurry to get to next patient, had to get referral for another doctor to get treated, really bad experience.
Solved my constant nose bleeds in one go!
