At first we were really excited to buy a Van Metre home. That sentiment didn't last long. We were downsizing to a condo from a large single family home. My primary concern was parking. I have 2 college aged kids that each had cars, plus my husband and I each have a car. The sales person ASSURED us we would have ample parking -- especially right in front of our home, which is why I paid a premium for an end unit. I currently live in a Van Metre neighborhood that is still under construction. The construction site is sloppy and, due to their negligence, I ran over a roofing nail on the road that ended up costing me over $600. I have an AWD car, so I ended up having to get all my tires replaced because of this nail in one tire. I contacted the company and spoke to 3 different women who all told me something along the lines of "sorry, but we won't reimburse you." Why should I have to pay for their mistakes?
