I paid for an appraisal on an item that had been damaged by a pawn shop. I showed vivid before photos- and he acknowledged the intricacy of my piece in person but wouldn’t note it in the report. He also said in person he could see the damage and that it was preventable, but wouldn’t put that in the report. After showing goldsmith the appraisal I was told the amount originally given wasn’t even close.
