In my opinion, Dr. Veloso falls into that unfortunate category of younger clinicians who have become focused on making money at the expense of competent and compassionate care of their patients. Perhaps this is a function of the extraordinary debt young practitioners must carry upon their completion of their residency programs. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Front desk claim she couldn’t find my insurance when she was just entering the wrong information then ask me to call me insurance to verify once my insurance verified I had an Active plan and the doctor is listed as my Primary Care Physician she continued to ask question in disbelief then prolonging everything. I had an appointment at 3:40pm and arrived on time she made me spend 40min doing all of this just to say “the doctor is actually leaving soon” then offered to reschedule me but couldn’t just ... read more
Dr. Veloso is a great doctor. He care about patients. The problem with him is to belongs to Optum Group.
Generally a pretty knowledgeable physician but my only complaint would be his abrupt discontinuation of a drug I was taking that wreaked havoc in me because it's guaranteed to do so if one is suddenly taken off of it.
I've been seeing Dr. Veloso for several years and I find him to be a great listener, very personable and provides excellent care. I've recommended him to friends and they have agreed.
