I had a unique problem that did not involve the beautiful van conversions the Eric and his team do. I have a 55-year-old 21 window VW Buss that’s fully restored. The only issue I had was the lack of heat (I mean no heat). After talking with Eric a few times, I brought the bus up for him to do an evaluation to determine what the best solution would be. We decided on a Webasto gas powered heating system with a thermostat control. The system was ordered and a few weeks later it was installed, they did a real professional job. T... read more

I live in Portland, so Van Haus isn't convenient for me. I've also had a variety of built out vans, done by shops in Portland and I've always been severely disappointed. (long wait times, poor quality, super expensive and often needing to be redone, again, etc.) So when it came time to do my latest project, I asked around, a lot, and VH kept coming up as a mega high quality shop. This review actually isn't about the build (they did an AMAZING job, specifically since I had some unique custom requirements) it's about the post ... read more

Precision. If I was limited to one word to describe Van Haus, it would be precision. But I’m not, so I will add, innovative, dedicated, and welcoming… It was a pleasure beginning to end, and when there were bumps, they were flattened out to our satisfaction. Our personal tweaks were accepted and were improved upon when necessary. We were a year in the queue and then three months to build, all 1000% worth it. When Erik rolled up to us for the reveal I could hardly wait. I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I was so excited ... read more

Erik & Matt and crew were able to install an AutoTerm 4B bunk heater in my van *while I waited.* Which is a big deal when you live in your van. Because you can't leave your *house* somewhere overnight, like you might with a regular car repair place. Matt estimated that he had probably installed over 40 of this kind of heater thus far. That was all I needed to hear; I wanted something safe via an expert installation.
