I see a lot of low ratings for this hotel and was skeptical going in. But I was surprised and not disappointed in the hotel. I enjoyed reading about the history and the hauntings. I would definitely stay here again.

10/10 recommend! host was friendly and attentive, room was nice and clean, if ur looking for a more of an experience this is it bc its haunted! didnt see anything but definitely had eerie dreams. will be coming back

I really want to like this hotel. Old and funky and was likely charming - but hasn’t been for some time. now it’s just falling apart. Broken furniture. Inadequate curtains. No staff to be found. No hot water. Windows border up on some rooms. That said- great location for walking around Seward. And fine for a night, I guess.

こんなに口コミがひどいホテルは初めで、非常に憂鬱な気持ちで予約。この日はここしか空きがなかったのだから仕方がない。 最悪の状況を想定し、覚悟を決めてチェックイン。シャワーもお湯が出たし、カビ臭さもなく清潔。フロント向かいのパブリックスペースには、コーヒー、紅茶や電子レンジなどが設置されていた。 部屋には冷房がなく、床から天井に伸びるパイプの熱が室温をさらに上昇させ、恐ろしい暑さで眠れなかった。 暑さ以外は嫌なところはなく、古さを楽しみながらの良い滞在ができた。

To begin with, I think this hotel is very overpriced. The hotel is ancient and has a historical background. If you like haunted mansions, this might be a good place for you. But, it is too old, I don’t think most of people will get used to it. The smell in the hotel is unpleasant. The exterior of the building definitely needs lots of work, the paint on the walls are chipping and in the back, there’s a large yellow stain. This should be completely demolished and rebuilt.
