Agreed with all the crappy reviews! My husband and I surprised them in November 2024 because construction started in February 2023 with very little communication. They told us the house would be completed in December 2024. LMAO!!!! Here we are 2 years! House still not complete. We have called, no response, text no response and emailed. 2 years has pass home still not done. It’s hard to contact them for an update on my home. Soo sad about this builder. Stay away from them
They weirdly changed business names so that they could get rid of reviews. I closed on March on a new house. Permits were cleared June but my lot still isn't cleared even. Calling them has no point to it they don't answer or return calls I wouldn't use them if I had a do over. A year and 5 months update. House still not done, no completion date in the last 4 months they have put in cabinets, won't have the granite in till next week. I am in total agreement with those who gave 5 stars to Van Der Valk Construction for the same reasons. The issues we're having are not the fault of the builder, rather the county and city governments that want to weasel their way out of paying for their required fees repairing public roads etc. I even wrote to the Attorney General requesting her intervention but all she did was return their permission to apply for permits. Do NOT hire this company. Signed a contract with them 2 years ago, closed in June 2022, it’s March 28, 2024, and still not near done. They will not give a finish date. They are horrible with communication, work is done maybe once a month, twice if we are lucky. Last summer there was nothing done for a couple months. They are rude, and make you feel guilty when asking for updates. We’ve been paying on a mortgage payment for a year, it’s a nightmare.
