Ford issued a recall for the EcoSport I bought in 2021. I brought my car in for repair at the end of October, 2025. I picked the car up yesterday, Jan. 24. VanBortel Ford lent a car for my use for the 3 months my car was waiting for parts, then waiting for the only technician trained to fix the problem. Imagine my gratitude for the use of the loaner with my only cost being refueling! I sing my praises for the Service Department personnel and the coordination of tasks they perform. There is supposed to be a "Quick Lane" here for common service. I arrived at about 0645 and was told that Quick Lane was already backed up and full so I would have to leave my truck for the day. Not wanting to do that, I asked for a suggestion on when best to come back. Service guy says you have to get here before we open if you want a chance. He said there were 10 cars lined up by 0630....Ugh ! So much for Quick Lane.....
Derrick was courteous, knowledgeable and helpfull through every step of my trucks repairs . I couldn't have asked for a better service advisor. Van Bortal always makes me feel like I'm part of the family.
I brought my 2017 F150 in for repair for the dreaded "cam phaser" problem. Long story, but I had been very disappointed with the response from Ford corporate about getting help with the problem, since the vehicle had been brought in several times (to a different Ford service center) for exactly this problem and they could not identify the problem until after my warranty and the customer satisfaction program for this defect had expired. Took my 24’ Raptor in to get the transmission fluid level reassessed due to a low whining sound my 10R60 tranny was making. Shop foreman Steve Malin was very helpful and provided education regarding the expected findings. Coming from BMW M cars, the Raptors are new to me and I’m still getting used to different sounds the platform makes. Steve was able to help answer all of my questions.
