Total Chaos and no bedside manner Since we have several pets, I have been to several vets to see which one I liked the most before going back. If I feel they are adding extra charges or are not very good with the animals, I won't go back. Van Alstine's place is a total mess, but I thought maybe that's because he was more concerned with good care for the animals he sees. Wrong! Not the best, but good for the price Yes I admit his office is questionable, but I have taken two of my cats there and he did just fine. I took one of my cats to a different vet to get declawed and spayed and my cat was sore for weeks. I took my other cat to Dr. Van Alstines office and my cat was jumping and pouncing around the very next day with little if any pain. Outrageous! We saw an ad in the local paper for Van Alstine's advertising their clinic on rabies shots at $10.50 per shot. When we got there, the building looks almost abandoned. Inside it's dark and extremely cluttered. They didn't even have examination rooms. Our dogs were administered their shots on a small table in a tiny open space amongst all the clutter. They were giving our dogs the shots before they were even done explaining the charges and filling out the sheets. Our total ended up being $70 instead of the $42 we e... read more
Very pleased with service and care for my babies!!! Ok seriously people? You all seem to be hooked up on the way the office looks like...if that's your main concern than you need to get your priorities in check. Dr Van Alstine is an excellent vet and I RECOMMEND him to everyone. My animals have been going to him for several years and I believe he knows more about what he is doing then other vets I have ever been to. And he is extremely reasonable and cares about his patients(humans and animals). And btw its not all about how... read more
