Reading the latest reviews, they are 100% accurate because here I am to give another praise to DaQuan! He is so helpful and one of the few maintenance people I have encountered that takes initiative. He makes Van Alen shine and if I could, I would request him everytime :)
Van Alen is a great place to live in Durham, and one of the main reasons is its staff of professionals. Daquan helped me to remove a shower head in my bathroom today so I could replace it, and he was great - very knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, and effective. A great reflection of a great place!
Service here is amazing. I had to call Daquan in the middle of the night as one of my smoke detectors was going off as it needed to replaced. I could not reach it and he came right out with three smoke detectors as he knew if one was going, they would all need to replaced. Sure enough, he was right. He was so professional and efficient and got everything in working order so that me and my dog could get back to a restful night sleep and not have to worry about the constant alarming noises. Such a fun and friendly atmosphere. In particular, Yanahi is very professional and takes a special attention in making sure the residents are happy. They always have great events and are managed very well. The apartments are very modern and keep an elegant feel.
