Update: Turns out my oil filter wasn't tightened down/leaked enough oil that it didn't register on the dipstick. The Valvoline near me didn't want to make things right, so I had to take care of it myself in a hotel parking lot. I'm on a 12k+ mile road trip and for the first time in my nearly 40 years of driving, I paid someone else to change my oil...once I got over losing some of my manhood and brushed aside the "quick oil change" horror stories I've heard, I realized after my time here, that I should have done it much soon... read more
