What a great local shop . The staff and owner are very honest and work at a fair rate.
This is the second time that I have had to go to Value transmission because of my car doing something strange. First time I thought it was the transmission they ran a complete Diagnostic, drove the car, came back and told me that nothing was wrong with the vehicle..... I was stunned and thrilled that they were honest enough to say that and there was no charge(who does that?...NO ONE). My transmission was shot after 200,000 miles on my Chevy Malibu. I received a recommendation from a body shop in the area that Value Transmission in Skokie had happy customers. The previous owner had bad reviews because he took short cuts. The new owner Mark was great. He was always keeping me up to date and even though it took a few weeks, was able to find the parts to rebuild the transmission. He is very through.
