DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS BUSINESS. We were charged for a "Wholesale Rebuild" for $4000. This work requires the engine to be removed from the vehicle. We took the same vehicle to a mechanic we trust for another repair and they confirmed that there was definitive evidence that the engine was never removed from the vehicle. The owner does not return calls and is apparently never onsite and refuses to talk with us about negotiating a lower bill for the work since they clearly did not perform a "Wholesale Rebuild."
Mark and team are kind, honest and knowledgeable. As much as it stinks to have trans work done, I felt like I was in good hands. He takes time to explain, show me and really helped me get comfortable with getting the required work done.
Definitely use this place if you need transmission work. Our truck broke down just north of Skokie and limped it to Value Transmission on a whim, ended up with great service at a very reasonable cost. Strongly recommend this place, very impressed with Mark's professionalism and the overall shop.
