Great Family Restaurant Val's has been around forever and ever. I has a dark atmosphere and you feel as though you are entering an old speakeasy. They have the best minestrone soup and the bread is always plentiful and fresh. Usually, I go with the special of the day whether meat, fish or chicken because the chef knows what he is doing. Very popular spot.
GREAT FOOD!! – We have been to Vals quite a few times and have never been disappointed. It's kind of old school, but what they lack in decor they more than make up for in their food, prices and staff!! I usually order the filet mignon with shrimp. I highly reccommend it. The filet is every bit as good as any steakhouse downtown Sf without the ridiculous prices. They also have a nice bar with lots of regulars who Karaoke Th - Sun. Highly reccommend it!!
