We purchased a Valor fireplace from a local company. It was installed and was lovely. Then after only about a year, it started making a buzzing noise and wouldn't consistently start. We reached out to Valor directly and left messages asking for help, but no one ever responded to us. The company that had done the install had closed, so we ended up having to call a company for service to try to solve the problem. The Valor H5 Was recommended by my local retailer, and based on the photograph and video on the Valor website, I had one installed last week. Very sadly given the cost, the flame on high is not even half the height of what they show on their website. I’ve posted pictures here of the actual flames and the ones they show on their website. This is the third Valor fireplace we have owned in about 25 years. They used to be amazing but our first experience with this one was disappointing. However, once we had their attention, Valor came through for us. They upgraded the operating system and now it functions much better. I’m so glad we were able to fix this. It’s working like it should. Thank you!! I have an H3 fireplace and it works very well. However, the remote is terrible! Very poory designed, does not work consistently, difficult to set up and the temperature calibration is off.
Avoid this brand. We have two installed in our house and they always fail. We have had multiple failures that require many major components that need to be replace. The poor build quality of their components may be low cost for them, but not for you. True junk
