I worked at Valleyview for over a year. 3 months on the floor and the rest of the time was spent in management. This building has poor leadership as far as the DON and ED. They have been made aware of so many issues going on in that building and nothing is ever addressed. I had several job offers over my course of time at Valleyview but I never accepted them because I truly loved my job. I felt like I was really getting good at it. Never send anyone to this place. My sister was there for rehabilitation and was hours away from death by the time we got her to the hospital. She had asked for 2 days to be sent to the hospital and they refused. But of course all this was not charted. No edema was noted in her chart but 50 pounds of fluid was removed from her! Our health system is a disgrace!
The worst establishment around. My grandmother decided on her own to enter this facility temporarily. She still has her sound mind. We talk everyday. I was even present when she entered this facility. Not only that have family friends see her often. I met staff and more. Well she hates the place and would rather go back to her home state of Louisiana. As that is where her entire family, siblings, and more reside. As well as myself.
