I want to share my terrible experience with La Quinta Pet Hospital/Valley Veterinary Urgent Care so other pet owners can be careful before bringing their animals here. I am travelling to the Coachella music festival for work. My little Chihuahua mix ingested something that caused a serious medical issue. I arrived at the clinic around one hour before closing, and the entire staff was phenomenal. He was immediately seen and cared for. It caused them to stay after hours, and there was no question that they would. Paid a huge premium for same day appointment. Made the appointment, showed up on time, and waited another hour+ for the doctor. Somehow ended up with a $700 bill for an anal squeeze and some antibiotics. Ended up having to go to VCA the next week because the antibiotics were not strong enough to kill the infection. Paid $230 at VCA for the exaxt same service. Got in same day and saw a Dr in 10 minutes... Only reason for two stars is because if it's your only choice, the Dr is at least competent.
