Jeff saved my one owner 1988 Volvo 740 from the junk yard. Transmission went out at only 291,000 miles. Everything he did he did perfectly. Tranny is as good as if not better than new.
I called to schedule a diagnostic and fluid/filter change for a 25 year old car. He was very resistant and was more interested in telling me all the the problems a tranny could have than doing what I was requesting. I told him I was aware the work could end up being a waste of time considering the age of the car. However he kept giving me excuses to not do the work. I took my business elswhere. I was very surprised since they had the best reviews of any transmission shop in the South Bend area.
He did my transmission for a great price. He fixes what needs fixed and does great work. I have had other work done and am always highly satisfied.
Jeff at Valley Transmission is an absolute lifesaver! I was driving from NC to a wedding in South Bend when my Nissan Rogue’s transmission started failing in Ohio. Every shop from there to Indiana was closed for the weekend (not to mention, Labor Day holiday), but Jeff — who I don’t think was even supposed to be open — told me to come in, checked my car on the spot, and even offered to drive me to the wedding so I wouldn’t miss it. Picked up an old Cadillac in Boston driving it cross country with my kids from Boston to California. Transmission broke down in South Bend. Didn't know any one, came across Valley Transmission. Jeff tore it apart and put it back together in a few days. We were back on the road again. Great work, great price no problems the rest of the way.
