I went there as a kid very terrible place. Locks you up in a room, don't let you out if they don't want to. You have to fight over food in the morning on the weekends. For cereal, if the cereal runs out, they don't care. You have to wait for lunch one time. They bring in 2 mountain lions and told us if we run away that they will let the mountain lions catch us. They won't even chase us. Not a good place to send kids, ranch should be shut down.Should have been shut down a long time.Ago

i do not believe this place should stay open. the beds in hill house are 6 inches from the floor, locked doors behind you everywhere, isolation rooms, horrible supervisors, and unprofessional staff. i myself have never been in isolation, because my 5'6 98lbs self NEEDED to get out of there. i was assaulted twice and all the staff did was give two hours of room time even though i did not fight back in attempt to leave. they claim they can provide a safe environment but i have witnessed many kids self-harm while in their care.... read more

Ive been their before ,your stay is however you make it ,you wanna be disruptive & psychotic ? They will handle you otherwise ,you can work the programm peacefully & go home in a few months, where people go wrong at is expecting their stay to automatically be short ...I've been in multiple institutions & i can say if your doing right you won't have any issues unless its from another youth ...these comments im seeing ,too me are nothing but a bunch of people that grew up into adults with the same mind of the kids they was whe... read more

I went to this place a place my family and I was told I would do 4 months in a place I was 7 hrs from home and had no idea the experience would totally change my life (and not for the better). I was sent there at 13 and I ended up being there for 11 months the staff acted like they were gods among troubled youth. I still have nightmares the closet where they put you if you were to upset or to mad or for any mouthing just everything solution was that dang closet.
