I went to this place a place my family and I was told I would do 4 months in a place I was 7 hrs from home and had no idea the experience would totally change my life (and not for the better). I was sent there at 13 and I ended up being there for 11 months the staff acted like they were gods among troubled youth. I am a psychologist and I can assure you, this place will traumatise your child. Please do not send them here. Beating and arguing with your kids doesn’t teach them anything. Kids like these need emotional support, not a prison like experience. Most people leave prison worse than how they came in. My friend was sent here. He would be locked in an empty room for hours on end. He was stripped naked in front of male staff and groped when no one was looking. The girls were also forced to strip in front of male staff. It's extremely abusive towards the children and they undergo inhumane procedures that are nothing like what the program claims they will do
I was 13 probably around 160 pounds at this time so yes I was a little chunky but I had a panic attack and they had called the crisis van out and two 600 pound men tackled me to the ground and had my face buried in rocks because I was having and panic attack and they were telling me to calm down and I couldn’t breath so it was hard to calm down instead of anything trying to talk to me to calm me down I got slammed to the ground one sat on my back and shoulders and one sat on the back of my legs and had my face pushed into th... read more
I was there at one time and this place is horrible I broke my hand there and they wouldn't talke to the hospital for over a week and there is more I would rather not talk about
