Valley Queen is the best cheese in the world.. Ok, I grew up on a farm north and west of Milbank so I grew up with Valley Queen cheese. We live in Watertown, S.D. but have to go to Milbank about once a month for cheese. My Grandfather, Lyle Johnston was one of the first to sell milk to Valley Queen. When we stopped at the cheese store today, the gal there told us there was a picture of the names of some of the first milk patrons listed. Can I stop and take a picture of that list? We were camping in Ortonville and decided to take a drive to Milbank and happened upon the retail store. I never even knew the place existed but I sure am glad we found it. We bought several blocks of cheese and have enjoyed them all. Reasonable priced as well. Thanks,we will be back!
