Quiet area. Intended to be cheap, but it's what you get. Building was too old and in poor condition. Snow damage every year. Shared entrance so people rarely closed door to avoid animals and the cold. People loved to slam their own doors. Squirrels getting in was a problem. Maintenance was attentive, but the language barrier was severe. If you don't need to save an extensive amount each month, a quality place outside New York State is your best bet. I am looking for current and past residents who have had issues with Jose Pastrana (and the VPE Board). The Annual Meeting is scheduled for May 28, 2026 - it would be nice to meet other residents at the meeting who've had conflicts with Jose. No resident should be forced to move with his disgusting games!
The guy name Jose Pastrana Rejected my interview which is paid because I came without my 12 y old daughter and he called me several times and never mentioned that and also the broker which work with him never asked me too and when I asked him I can bring her but weekdays or weekend he said this is a carless and when I start recording he gave me my money back with a fake check which been rejected from the bank . I'm a prior resident of VPE - if I could give 0 Stars, I would, just for Management. Jose Pastrana, the Property Manager seems to prioritize his own financial gain over the well-being of residents. He wears multiple hats, which bring him excessive financial gain from being the property manager of this complex. The level of professionalism is lacking, and it’s clear that transparency and fair treatment are not part of his approach. His management/ethics practices are atrocious.
