Scheduled a preventive well visit that is covered by insurance. During routine screening, I answered a standard question about sleep. During the visit, it was re-coded as diagnostic without explanation as to how this would affect billing, which caused the charge to be applied to my deductible. When I followed up, Valley Medical Group MP indicated this was required by Horizon, and Horizon indicated it was based on Valley’s coding — leaving me - the patient -caught in the middle. In general I can only say good things about all the valley doctors and nurses I’ve dealt with. But unfortunately, the nurse who drew my blood at this Midland Park location (Katya) is the most unpleasant nurse I have ever dealt with. She was extremely unkind. I have never met a nurse that was so cold and rude
If you want to get your personal medical record you have to pay 1$ for 1 page. It's a shame that Valley Medical Group treats its patients like this
