They put me on antidepressants at the age of 19 and made me apologize to my abusers.. instead of dealing with the real problems.. which turned into a lifetime of addiction. Ironic huh. I attended Valley Hope in O’Neill, NE from 9/23/25 to 10/24/25 for alcohol treatment, & had never been in treatment before. It was really hard for me to admit that I needed the help, but I am very happy that I went. The hardest part of treatment is walking through the door. Once I detoxed, I began attending workshops & meeting with counselors & my chaplain. You get out of this what you are willing to put into it. The time I spent at Valley Hope of O'Neil was pretty awesome. It is where the foundation of my sobriety began. Everybody from the administration, the nurses, the chaplains, the kitchen staff, and the maintenance were kind, caring, and attentive to the needs of the patients. I can't thank them enough. I found a amazing support system with other patients that I still talk to and am apart of the Valley Hope Alumni. If anybody is suffering from addiction and needs help I recommend this facility.
This the best treatment center I have ever been too. I highly recommend it. I have been to other places and this one is amazing. The staff, nurses and everyone are genuine and they care about you. They have a really beautiful chapel and spiritual meeting every morning. You don't have to wait on your medications and the food is really good. You also get to keep your phone which is very important in my opinion. So happy with my experience there.
