Unprofessional and Disappointing Experience: Our experience with Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside was deeply disappointing. The handling of my uncle’s cremation was delayed for several days without clear communication, and we did not receive his urn with his ashes in time for the memorial service. To make matters worse, the obituary was never published, so only close family attended the service. Well, first I sent Mom to the wrong funeral home. The one on Yakima Avenue that I don't care for. My dad had his arrangements made there, so I assumed Mom did as well. Valley Hills were very nice and picked her up right away. Mom had a prepaid cremation. The other place was telling me that the policy would only pay part of this and part of that. Then also things that were listed on the policy I was told that they weren't included at all. At Valley Hills they did everything for the price of what the policy stated. No surpri... read more
