I was a bit nervous coming here after seeing all the 1 star reviews. But I got to say they called me in quickly. I waited 5 mins for triage and after they immediately brought me into the back.Doctor came after 10 mins and the nurses were lovely.
I have been to this Emergency Room twice now for my son and once for myself and have had great experiences all three times. Each time we were admitted almost immediately, the doctor and staff were there assessing the situation in a minute or less after being brought to the room. The doctors have been attentive, thorough, and have taken the time to fully explain test results, next steps, and to answer all questions. Six years ago, my father was taken to Valley Hospital with severe chest pains. The doctor who examined him was dressed as a slob and stated he wasn't having a heart attack. He treated my father, mother, sister and I with disrespect and left us in a ER room for 24 hours. My niece who works for Atlantic Health arranged for my father to be transported from Valley to Morristown Medical Center. ER Visit: Jan 7th, 2026 at around 0200-0300, writing this post at 0340 same day. Background context. I was an EMT for 3 years, Marine Corps Infantry, and now a 3rd year medical student. I am the person that does not go to the ER unless I'm absolutely about to die. I had walking pneumonia for 3 1/2 weeks, diagnosed the other day and started on z pak.
