I have been here for two months and am leaving next week. This is the second time I have been here. I think it is a good place to recover from surgery. The nurses and the aids are very attentive and have taken excellent care of me and my roommate. The only peeve I have is the food- breakfast is good but there is a lack of communication as when I get a hot lunch after saying many times I don’t want a hot lunch. I have so many regrets on placing my father here for a short stay, after being there for a few weeks we noticed he was being neglected by staff, not only did they lie in my face about my fathers care and contradicted themselves over and over trying to cover things up, now my father is in the verge of getting his toe amputated due to to their lack of attention and care, my father was referred to their 5 star center exactly for his foot wounds and they failed him, and in my eyes it was my family’s worst mistake sending him the... read more

HORRIBLE, DO NOT RECOMMEND! Bathrooms are shared with adjoining rooms with the opposite sex. A regular resident there urinates all over the bathroom floor and keeps door locked so my roommate and I could not access. The staff knew but would not keep watch to clean up after him. The Director lied that this would be handled and even after slipping through his pee, I was not allowed to leave unless I signed that I was leaving against their medical advice. I have lived here for nearly 8 years. I honestly have not 1 complaint. This is the best secret in town! I have gone through several surgeries, it was a breeze, my grandchildren were always welcomed and encouraged to help with activities, the food is great, so are the employees. I'm in a w/c transportation is always available. My friends are welcome. All the Aministrators are very family oriented. This is a private facility, not a corporation. Very little turnover of helpValley Heights got us all through the pandemic!!
