Rebuilt my starter for my Kohler and it works great. Also provide some great tips on how to prevent failure again. Go with a battery greater than 300 cranking amps and don't lubricate the drive.

Shout out to Mike (the owner) for helping me out when other garages refused to, because they were booked solid for the next 3 weeks. He knew I had an electric issue and that I was in trouble to get back home in Montréal, so my friend recommended Mike and I am so glad she did. He even thaught me how to fix it if it ever happened again.
This “mechanic” (who did not know what an OBD2 scanner was, anyone who spent a day in a garage has used one) charged my 90 year old grandpa $475 just in labour to replace a battery that likely didn’t need to be replaced, and use a multimeter for a few minutes. They did not hook his remote starter back up, now I have to redo it. Absolutely terrible + should be ashamed, no integrity will rip you off
