EMPLOYERS, DO NOT USE VALIC/COREBRIDGE for your employee's retirement accounts!!!!! Seconding what another reviewer said. If you have an old retirement account, they will intentionally make it difficult or impossible to roll your money over to another institution. The first rep told us we had to send a notarized letter confirming identity and requesting that a verbal password be set to access an account, since we didn't know what address from 10ish years ago they had on file. Absolute worst experience dealing with inept customer service reps. Hard to get through the language barrier as they all have very heavy foreign accents. Long wait times to ultimately get transferred to someone else that can't help. Never had a phone call with them that lead to a resolution. Stay far away from them and their products.

Scam. My grandparents had an account with them. I called to file a claim after they passed away. Was told to wait five days and call back after the claim was processed. When I called them back, they put me on hold for 20 minutes Then call hung up and now it appears They have blocked my number. Scam Scam Scam. Contacting a lawyer.

Is very very difficult to get your money out of Valic. They lie and lie saying they didn't receive forms that were faxed and emailed repeatedly. They'll put a hold on your account. You can't talk to anyone that will give you any service to get your money out. It can take months to years to move your money.
