I came to VBH to heal from trauma and they gave me even more trauma!!! Every phone call i was allowed to have, Sam (Grey hair) , Sam (red hair) and Dana (manager) made me put it on speaker phone and while they listened.... EVERY SINGLE PHONE CALL... and then they would laugh and mock my conversations with my husband while I was on the phone with him! Calling him a narcissist! It stated “It concerns my family and I that a “counsellor” (Luc) boasted about the fact that his wife has a dual citizenship in which she voluntarily voted for DONALD TRUMP. I don’t think it’s appropriate for this staff member to be around children given the fact that him and his wife support a man who has abused so many. When I arrived at VBH my addiction had taken control, my depression, anxiety and self esteem were at their lowest. Day 1 was my first day of sobriety and immediately I felt safe, comfort, understood and respected. The entire staff, from the the owner to management to facilitators and counselors were outstanding, but in particular Sam, Red and Samantha (the 3 Sam’s) were vital in my recovery, they approached every session with compassion, knowledge and caring. I loved how they used their own stories to make it more relatable.... read more
My girlfriend went here a few months ago... she finished treatment completely unstable... found out This "treatment center" does not have a medical professional as they claim... looked them up, and they are not bbb accredited.
I was recently at the Ottawa location. I found that the staff ( especially both Samantha’s ) were excellent and a huge reason why I was successful at the program. I was not impressed with the change in house manger before I left or some of the one on one therapy sessions ( seems some clients were treated differently). Without the support and guidance of “red” Sam and “daytime” Sam my experience would not have been so fulfilling. They truly are an amazing and knowledgeable team.
