I have serious concerns about the quality of care and the way serious misconduct involving staff was handled at Valiant Behavioural Health. A staff member was accused of inappropriate sexual conduct toward vulnerable clients. Reports were made to the Program Manager, who, in my view, attempted to cover up what had happened rather than ensuring the matter was properly addressed. Awful
I am a concerned family member that spend 15k on Valiant to help in recovery for 30 days. Its in a nice area near Ottawa and looked quite peaceful. The house was also quite nice. My concerns regarding these recovery centres is that they really have neither regulations nor accountability for the services they offer. This is where the issues arise. I recently finished 60 days at Valiant Ottawa. I highly recommend it for anyone struggling with addiction and or mental health issues. I came into valiant extremely lost struggling with addiction mental health and relationship issues. Over the 60 days I learned an incredible amount of skills that are now helping me cope with my life. The programming was excellent and covered everything i needed to help me with my issues.
