I have found Dr. Skrelja to be an excellent and thorough physician who listens carefully and responds thoughtfully during my annual exams. I have been to many doctors who are dismissive of my concerns regarding prescription side effects but this is not the case with Dr. Skrelja. She recognizes that people respond differently and doesn’t insist that side effects I’ve experienced could not possibly be from a medication. Based on my experience my now adult children have chosen her as their primary care physician as well.
Dr Skrelja is always personable, proactive and caring-a great internal medicine doctor.
(NO STARS!!!!) I am compelled to share an extremely troubling experience involving Dr. Valerie Skrelja and Summit Health. In 2026, my 100-year-old grandmother was refused care at a scheduled appointment solely because she arrived late. This decision showed a shocking lack of compassion and clinical judgment, especially given her condition.
