I was an outdoor athlete, 4th year engineering student. I suddenly had a severe throat constriction that left me unable to talk or to walk lest I be unable to draw enough breathe. At urgent care, I had to have my parent speak for me and that greatly upset the Physician. Her attitude was terrible, and despite me writing my medical history out, she would not take the time to read it. Well, all good things seem to come to an end. I'm my opinion, TGH USED TO BE GOOD.... Now, overall, they barely rate two stars.

My GP advised me to attend the A%E at TGH which I did. Later I was moved to a treat and discharge unit. The service I received from Entering the unit to being discharged was first class as it always is. The staff were brilliant which I think says it all in a few words. The people of Tameside should be proud that we can receive medical care of this class on our doorstep. Well done the staff of TGH.

Prior to tjis incident I have always had putstamding service from T.G.H I went to follow up on a condition that I already spoke to my doctorabout 6 mos prior and another APRN about a few days b4. I went to 4 med appts in 7 days 3 at T.G.H. to follow up on it I had new symptom and shared with a NEW APRN NAMED Samantha Brilmye. I never saw before. I'd give them no stars if possible. After 2 days I tried leaving AMA n was physically and medically restrained against my will for 2 days. They had no legal right to hold me n when forced there against my will they never contacted my emergency contact (legally required). Also forced medication like Haldol n precedex (ketamine) while in 4 point restraint. These medications made me a zombie that couldn't think straight for over a week. Biggest concern in relocating to Florida was finding a good PCP to replace my Delaware PCP of 30 years. I feel extremely lucky to have found Dr. Thomas. I am a retired RN with multiple complex health issues. Dr Thomas is extremely knowledgeable, competent, skilled and compassionate. During visits she listens and takes time to explain everything thoroughly. Her knowledge and skill has gotten me through more than one health crisis. On Sunday the emergency room took a culture. Most cultures are ready in 48 hours. It can take up to 72 hours. 96 hours later the results are not available. On Sunday early afternoon an MRI was performed. The technician could not tell me what he sees, there is protocols restricting that. Later that evening I asked the nurse to follow up with getting the pictures read. Nurse contacted the Dr on duty but she could not read the results because, and I quote, the doctor is on her boat.
