Awful experience. I should have gone off the reviews. Dr. Kemper is disrespectful, condescending, and overall a disappointment. She will talk down to you and degrade you. It took 3 different people to complete the appointment and then Dr. kemper gave results. The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. Steer clear from this office and find a qualified provider, because this wasn’t it.
I'm not very good with reviews but I wanted to share how happy I am that I took my daughter to be tested at Kemper & Associates. I found Dr. Kemper and her team to be helpful, caring people. They were all very polite and patient with both me and my daughter. They answered all my questions and listened to everything I shared. She will talk down to you and ignore anything you say. She’ll make a statement and when you question her further she speaks in circles and becomes defensive. Please don’t waste your time and money for someone who won’t respect you.
As a colleague in behavioral health for nearly a decade, I can say without hesitation that Dr. Kemper is a truly exceptional neuropsychologist & therapist. She exemplifies all the traits becoming an outstanding provider: patient, kind, highly empathic, exceptionally knowledgeable, & a brilliant diagnostician, to boot! I have never received negative feedback about Val & happily refer all my patients, family & friends to her. I would have no hesitation to see her myself! She is such a gem!
Was scheduled to see her through an employee assistance program. My appointments should have been with her only. She had me seeing an intern the entire time. The office waiting room is uninviting and it echoes. I could hear otherwise patients talking in therapy rooms from the back waiting room and the tiny testing room. So I'm sure anyone could hear me. I would never get calls back. Had to keep calling to get anyone to answer. Front office staff was unattentive.
I'm not sure she knows what she is talking about. Where did she get her education?!
Our appt to get the results of our daughter's testing took less than 15 mins. Dr. Kemper's attitude was rude and condescending. She alluded to the test results and just kept repeating, she CAN'T. I have never met a (psychological) health professional with such a negative attitude, especially one who would deny a child in such a way. If a special needs child can be taught, why would she say that my daughter (who isn't learning disabled) CAN'T?!
the best! – Dr. Kemper saved my marriage! My wife and I were at a very rocky time in our lives together. Dr. Kemper was skillful, empathetic, and genuine. There were some sessions that were really hard because she made me look at myself - not a comfortable thing. There were other sessions that my wife later told me she felt the same way.
