Sensitive detector. Zero customer service. Valentine won't respond to emails. Won't respond to inquiries through the website. I'll be eBaying my V1G2 for another Uniden R8 since my hardware cannot be upgraded via Bluetooth as advertised. It says to contact valentine which is basically impossible so I give up.

I've owned a V1 Gen 1 since, gulp, 1997- 1998. I called for a replacement part and took advantage of their upgrade plan. Customer service answered within 3 rings, US based support. Each person I talked to took plenty of time answering my questions. The tech guy was quite funny when he looked up the age of my unit, with as many tickets this has saved me, I think it was time to upgrade lol. I didn't believe all those bad reviews about their customer service. Unfortunately, it's completely true. I placed the order on sunday plus one air day shipping. It sais order placed before 12 nion will be shipped the same day. So my oder should be sent out on monday.
