Great place to check out. In winter, you can snowshoe or ski out to the icebergs and growlers frozen in the lake. Explore ice caves and cool formations. In summer, Kayak around big bergs.
Watch/Inform yourself with local news about weather events. Safety first! Great place to view glaciers either by hiking (when safe and solid) or by kayak/boat when not frozen. If you have drones be aware of windy conditions are possible, and the air traffic control zone for Valdez airport extends to the middle of the lake (aprox). Very quiet area and on occasion you can hear ice moving. You will enjoy this place any time of year. Just be safe, and take all you bring in back out.
