absolutely loved vakkar! i didn’t go to a salon for years after having a bad experience, but kristen was so nice and gave me exactly what i wanted. color and cut turned out exactly as i asked, they’re transparent about cost, and check with you to make sure you’re okay with how much they cut off. price is for sure worth it and i’ll be coming back!
I came in needing help with a haircut that, despite being done at a well-regarded salon in NYC, just wasn't working for me, and needed some serious saving. The director, David, was incredible. I did spend time calling around STL salons, and I was vaguely referred to someone "good with bobs", and that just wasn't enough to ensure the correction, let alone a place for me to return to for future visits or bigger hair changes. David is both the salon owner as well as our stylist. He is the greatest stylist I have ever seen. He is a so meticulous in his cuts. I briefly started getting my hair cut by a curly girl specialist but I always came back to David for the shape. I have been seeing David for over 10 years. I met him when my hair was down to my waist. He carried me through the emotional roller coaster of a pixie cut and back to a perfect curly bob. He can literally do anything and do it well. David made me feel welcome and comfortable, gave me guidance on a cut that would suit me and my styling habits, and spent extra time curling my hair to make it last for a family photo shoot in the afternoon. Was my first time at the salon and will be going back!
I’ve been going to this salon for years. They are completely amazing. David and Gary are very personable, and professional.. They figure out what I want for color and cut from what I try to describe. This salon is truly amazing and worth the money I spend. The saying is … you truly get what you pay for. And beyond that. You are treated like family. Nothing gets better than that.
