Nobody *wants* to write a review about an experience at a hospital, but here we are, right? I had to bring a very sick kiddo into the ER and couldn't have asked for better treatment. She was seen right away by compassionate people. I was treated with kindness and empathy, and by the time we were discharged we knew what next steps would be and felt confident that we knew what happened. No billing or insurance issues whatsoever.

We have had the BEST experience with Steadman and the Surgery center for many years and many of my athletes, but today when I called trying to talk to the billing department, the woman so VERY rude and actually hung up on me. Not sure I would visit the Hospital of it was not related to Steadman. Turns out I needed to call the surgery center to discuss, who were VERY helpful. I see there were other reviews about being hung up on. Not great customer service in the finance dept.

Meg at the reception desk was amazing. She was staying on top of all her patients that were waiting for their services. She kept in constant communication, updating us on the status of getting all the documents for my workers comp and then getting me in for my CT scan. She paid attention to our needs and brought us water, ice for my foot and some graham crackers as we had said we had not ate all day. First, we thought we were in the urgent care department. After, checking in we realized we were in the main emergency department. I submitted all my insurance and drivers license in the visit room, we saw the nurse input it into the hospital system. I received a text and opt. out and sent email that was in the text. They answered my email and could not find account. The rep. called me & was very nice said, not in system. We had surgery at Vail Health in January of 2025 and they required us to pay our total maximum out of pocket deductible up front. They didn't file our claim with insurance for 6 weeks and we needed to pay other providers first to keep ourselves out of collections. As I tried to follow up with Vail Health financial services it has taken over a month for them to call me back with my many attempts. They finally did call me back and let me know the claim is still under review with our insurance (who tells me it has been settled)... read more
