I've seen DR avula for fifteen years or more in the GI clinic and as far as I'm concerned she is the best. She understood my problems and put in the system that she would be the only one to take care of me, there was one time I had somebody else do it but DR avula made sure that I new that she had chosen her and I'm in good hands . Now I live out of state but if she got transferred to N ca or moved to the SF Va I'd be back with her in a heartbeat. J W SLINSEN
Issue with the parking. The VA Police have marked off an area for their personal vehicles, even though there is not sufficient parking for patients or staff. Patients and staff are required to park off-site when on-site parking is not available, except for the coned off area that the police have set aside for themselves.
It's incredible how a big hospital in a major city can care less and make more mistakes than a ship's medical department. I was prescribed heart mediation for my back and the lady at the pharmacy was rude and didn't try to help figure out what was wrong as i went to 3 different departments to figure out who could fix the mistake. I feel like I need to see a psychiatrist after a simple primary care visit. Should have been an hour, it took 4 and a half. Get some employees that care about patients, veterans or SOMETHING. At the VA today and getting amazing care from nurse jackie and kim and the whole ER staff!
I have never had trouble making an appointment through the phone, online, or in person. That goes for mental health, dental, and visits with my primary care. I will forever be greatful for the services provided by all members of this medical center. My health care team always listens to me and I have full faith that they are working towards helping me get the best care that I need.
