I moved to NYC almost a year ago now and this was my first dental cleaning at this VA. Today. My appointment started at 1:11 and ended at 1:37pm. The whole experience felt extremely rushed, aggressive and just messy. She applied some stuff to all of my teeth and tells me to not swallow and THEN only after she does this, she asks me if I wanted to get anesthesia because the cleaning will hurt a bit. I had the worst experience today. I needed to get fitted for glasses and went to get a number at 11:40 am, but the reception guy tells me the person who measures glasses was out for lunch. Five minutes later the guy who measures glasses appears and puts a sign saying he is out to lunch. I tried to catch up to him but he was too far from me and he went back through some doors by the time I got to the reception desk. I genuinely got upset because the reception guy lied to me. Cafe: What your biscuits and gravy looks like when they don't tell you they are out of biscuits. I asked to substitute a roll once I found out (after they handed me the food) but was told that would be an upgrade! My 1st time at Manhattan VA. I'll skip the Cafe next time and just eat at McDonalds

I have been around the country and to different VA hospitals,so far the most efficient and caring providers I have interacted with since left the army in 2006. I appreciate every hospital within the New York Harbor Healthcare system. Thank you for the support!
