They treat veterans like garbage and are some of the rudest people I have ever met. They don’t know how to give clear instructions then will yell at you for doing a test wrong. The staff is so rude and it seems like no one is in charge there. I will never go back to the facility. They wonder why veterans don’t get help/care… it’s because when they try to they are treated like garbage.

I wanted to share a most positive experience i had while at the VA in Ft Worth on 5/4/2026 PDS Optical . When I entered I had lost my prescription i needed for my glasses due to battling Cancer for 3 years and met Optician Kia L. She saw I was in distress and went out of her way to locate my earlier eye appointment over a year ago, was able to get me in contact with them and had them send her my eye prescriptions needed to go forward with my glasses. This place is horrendous. Provider cancelled my appointment and then can’t see me for another 3 months….so 8 months+ for an appointment. Was able to get into to see the nurse. The doctor prescribed me some medications and it’s taken an hour and half to submit my prescription. It never would have been submitted if I didn’t go back to the desk to complain. Then she only mentioned two when she called me to say they had been submitted when there was supposed to be three. Absolute incompetence running rapid here.
