Altoona VA is the best by far of the 5 VA Centers I have used. I can’t say enough how great every doctor, nurse and worker have been. They go out of their way to remind you what is available to make your care better. They are always very quick to respond to requests and set appointments and special tests. I’m very thankful to have access to the Altoona VA.
They seem to go out of their way to provide peace of mind and help!
Very thorough &attentive to my issues.
I’ve been taking a family member to this VA hospital for over a year and a half now for pulmonary care. Everyone in the building is extremely friendly and courteous. When you get out of one appointment the person that was helping you literally takes you and walks you down the hall to your next appointment. The doctors listen very intently to patient’s concerns and are turned in to their patient’s well-being. Excellent “bed side” manners.
