I've been going there for 7 years for various things always had a good visit it's right off the interstate they have a food bank on site but you can receive Food once a month the volunteers at the front desk are great everybody willing to help I really enjoy this VA
Best VA facility around, especially the ER. Constant attention paid to patient.
The VAMC in Marion, IL is amazing. I spent a couple of years at Naval Medical Center San Diego during a medical retirement board. I thought NMC San Diego was efficient and awesome. Given the lack of funding to the VA in general and all the bad press at the time I wasn’t looking forward to transitioning to the VA medical system. Boy was I wrong! I dont know what's happened to this VA over the last 4 years. I use to think highly of it, now you are more likely to win the lottery than receive even average care.
