Probably one of the worst VA hospitals in the world. I literally moved 140 mi away so I didn't ever have to go back there again. They've tried to kill me numerous times, almost died on the floor in the emergency room after sitting there for 3 hours with no one there. They've drugged me and then when I went back for prescription refills they've called me a druggie. I've come into waiting rooms with war movies on TV, in a place filled with veterans with PTSD! I have been all over the country to various VA medical facilities: Pittsburgh VA, Altoona VA, Audie Murphy VA, Orlando, FL VA, and now Marion, IL. For the last 3 years they have served me faithfully: met my mental, physical, and emotional needs through Behavioral Health, PT, diagnostics, and quality community care referrals. I couldn't be more satisfied with the care that the Marion VA provides. Of course, I am bias, but I think not having to wait 6 months for an MRI (like in San Antonio) is worth the change. So far so good. Been a very long trip here! Regardless very nice. Very respectful staff. The last thing I ever want to do is complain about a VA facility. However, in order to help future vets. We have to do certain things in order to keep the power of the cause open to all vets. With that being said. Day 1 I had zero issues taking care of what needed to get done. So far staff has been friendly and super helpful while cushioning the transition from another state. Thanks Marion VA. Looking forward to working with everyone.

I’ve been to several VA’s across the country from East to West coast and points in between. Marion VAMC is definitely the best from my experience. Special shoutout to the RRTP led by Mrs. Mary Thompson. Under her leadership, you won’t find more skilled practitioners anywhere in the country. I simply can’t say enough good things about these people. Thank you.
