I have a very mixed review. My uncle was in the care of the VA from Jan 6 to his death May 30. They transferred him from 1 medical center to another 7 times and lost most of his belongings. I have called SEVERAL times to try to get help in retrieving his items. Called multiple times. Requested call backs. Never received 1 at all. I cannot close out ANY of his accounts due to his phone and wallet being with one of those centers However....MOST of the caregivers that took care of him were amazing. And some were not. I have recieved phenomenal care at the VA. My teams are so exceptional that I stopped seeing my civilian drs and transferred all my care their the VA. TY to my teams.

Dad was on hospice at the VA CLC. They were amazing. Dad was comfortable, the staff was attentive and sensitive, and they took care of our family as well.

The VA should exist to help those who have been injured in war and who often can't advocate for themselves. I served as a military working dog handler in Iraq and Afghanistan, searching for explosives with my dog. Together we found 46 explosive devices. I've seen people liquefied by explosions. I was put into a situation where I had to shoot a child who was shooting at me. Those experiences don't disappear when the war ends.
