We were excited to try this place. Cute ambiance but the “manager” and waitresses were rude and ruined the whole visit. Straight from the start, rude tone, dirty looks and would use words to try and make us feel dumb, like “CLEARLY, this is your first time here” no crap! Where shall we sit??? This may be the first five-star review I’ve ever given where five stars simply aren’t enough. Our Lyft ride to the Sacramento airport was canceled because of a system error on Lyft’s end and we were suddenly stuck trying to figure out how we were going to make our flight. We started asking around and Heather, the owner of V Restaurant, Bistro & Bar, went completely above and beyond by offering to drive us herself. Out of all the excellent dining options in Murphys, we decided to give V a try. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. When we arrived, we were told that only outdoor seating was available and that a table would be cleaned for us. After waiting about 10 minutes, another server prepared a table and walked away without letting us know it was for us or inviting us to sit down. Amazing service, incredible food, everybody was very friendly. Food came out at exactly the right time, never felt slow or rushed. The cheese board was fantastic, as were the salmon, pasta, and creme brulee. I left happy and full and hope to return soon.
