On 9/23/24, I visited UW Medicine's OBGYN and Primary Care Clinic. This visit was scheduled as a general/annual check-up covered by insurance, with a $20 copay given my plan. Weeks after the visit, I was charged $273.33 after insurance. Upon contacting my insurance, I was told that the visit had been coded as an out-patient hospital visit, and thus was not able to be covered as a typical check-up. I really appreciate the kindness and consistency in care i receive here. Even when my pcp (who I adore) was on leave, I got excellent care and felt I was heard and I could trust that my concerns around why I came in for the appt were addressed. I really appreciate how quickly orders can be sent to and from the lab downstairs and how thorough the doctors and staff are here, and how quickly I can speak to someone. I love this clinic. Every provider I have seen has been wonderful and thorough, and I never feel like they don’t care or didn’t take the time to listen.
