I got UTI and fever at night. I went to Swedish ER, did some test but the doctor didn’t think there is an infection and refused to give me treatment. While I’m waiting for the doctor my symptoms got a lot worse so I headed to UW ER. The place is very clean and warm. The receipt desk stuff, nurses, doctors and the stuff in their pharmacy are very warm-hearted. I was in so much pain at that time and they made me feel I was taken care of.

Completely understaffed. I had a large gash on my head and went in to get it cleaned up and stitches or staples done. We came in at 10pm and didn't leave until 5 AM! Several people in the lobby were really sick and throwing up and were just ignored by staff. Once I finally made it behind the doors we waited hours while medical staff just walked by at a snail's pace. The only beds available were some spare ones in the hallway. Absolutely wretched and diabolical experience. I came in with a fairly advanced double kidney infection--my pain was so bad, I thought my appendix had ruptured. I called ahead of time and asked what the wait time was, and they refused to answer, and then didn't hang up after I said bye (they also never greeted or said goodbye to me over the phone).
